Medical Care

Residents who live at Community Living may have a variety of physical and mental health concerns. Staff are well trained and work closely with medical professionals in the community to meet resident needs. Therapies including speech, occupational, and physical are provided in house and in the community. Community Living employs RN’s and LPN’s to oversee and coordinate the medical care of all residents. Nurses or well trained staff accompany residents on all medical appointments. This level of nursing care allows us to respond to individual medical needs including but not limited to seizures, feeding tubes, catheters, ambulation issues, oxygen use, and a variety of other medical concerns. Individualized plans of care insure that medical procedures and protocols are thoughtfully, carefully, and consistently implemented. Residents if able can learn more about their personal health and medications. Residents are encouraged and supported to self-administer medications if appropriate. Trained staff insure that all medications are administered correctly.
